Filamento
A Mexican lighting workshop connecting contemporary design with ancestral craft techniques and materials from different regions of Mexico.
Materials in real light.
Filamento is part of our curated selection of contemporary lighting studios. The brand is recognized for its refined and graphic approach to lighting, creating pieces that combine visual lightness, elegant proportions, and subtle sculptural presence. Its collections bring softness, rhythm, and contemporary simplicity to interiors.
Founded in Guadalajara by architects Sofía Contreras and Enrique Tripp, Filamento collaborates with artisan communities to translate Mexican traditions into contemporary lighting objects. The brand explores techniques and materials including hammered copper, burnished clay, natural fiber weaving and blown glass, giving every collection a strong material and cultural narrative.
